Chandrashekhar Krishna Bandekar

Chandrashekhar Krishna Bandekar is the Founder and Lead Instructor of Fitness Yog Academy and a recognised yoga educator from Sindhudurg, Maharashtra., who has devoted his life to promoting yoga as a way of healthy and disciplined living. Through Fitness Yog Academy and in association with Patanjali Yoga Samiti, he has conducted numerous yoga shibirs, Surya Namaskar camps, meditation sessions and Yoga Day programmes across schools, colleges and rural communities. His efforts have reached students, women’s groups, senior citizens and working professionals, creating lasting awareness about preventive healthcare and mental well-being. Widely recognised by leading newspapers for his grassroots impact, he was honoured with the Rashtra Shiksha Ratna Samman 2025 for his selfless service. His work continues to inspire community-based wellness through yoga.
