Dr. Harishankar Singh Kansana

Dr. Harishankar Singh Kansana is a prominent academician and Divisional Programme Coordinator of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Jiwaji University, Gwalior, overseeing eight districts of the Gwalior-Chambal region. Through NSS activities, he has actively promoted community service, youth development, social welfare, environmental awareness, health initiatives, and rural development among students and society. He played a remarkable role in motivating youth towards social responsibility through awareness sessions, public speeches, and welfare activities. In the last two years, he significantly contributed to blood donation campaigns, helping collect around 3,000 units of blood for needy patients. In recognition of his exemplary community service and dedication towards humanitarian activities, he was honored with the Hon’ble Governor’s Utkrist Seva Samman 2026 by the Indian Red Cross Society, Madhya Pradesh.
