Dr. Safiya Mehraj

Dr. Safiya Mehraj, a distinguished scholar and artist from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, represents a rare blend of scientific excellence and artistic brilliance. A Gold Medalist in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Kashmir, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at CSIR–Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), focusing on Clinical Microbiology and PK/PD research. Alongside her scientific career, she is widely recognized for her remarkable work in art and calligraphy, pioneering the concept of NeuroArt that transforms complex biomedical ideas into powerful visual expressions. Her artwork gained international recognition as a Top 10 Global Finalist at the RANZCR 90th Anniversary Art Contest in Melbourne, Australia. Through science, art, and intellectual leadership, she continues to inspire innovation, creativity, and global impact.
