Kumari Sonia

Kumari Sonia from Bhubaneswar, Odisha is an inspiring fine artist whose life journey reflects extraordinary determination, resilience, and artistic excellence. Despite being 100% hearing impaired since birth, she pursued her passion for art with unwavering dedication and earned both B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Painting from Utkal University of Culture. Specializing in oil, acrylic, and watercolour painting, her artworks beautifully portray human emotions, nature, and contemporary themes through vibrant colours and creative expression. Currently serving as an Art Teacher at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), KIIT University, she has received numerous national and international honours, including medals at Abilympics and several prestigious art awards. Her inspiring journey continues to motivate artists and differently-abled individuals across society.
